Those years between being a little girl yet not quite a teenager. *sigh* As a mother, I relate completely to the desire of mixing pieces from their nursery with those newer pieces that transition into pre-teen / early teen years. We just can’t let them grow too quickly too soon. For this sweet family of 6, their oldest is a daughter. She’s lucky enough to have landed in the bedroom of their new home that has a walk-in closet and bathroom all its own. And it was my pleasure to help re-use what was on hand already to fine-tune her closet and organize her new desk.
Did I mention I love my job. And the people who hire me. A lot.
This stunning, feminine desk is the Whitney Writing Desk & Hutch from Pottery Barn Kids. It was matched with their Finley Stationary Chair and think you’ll agree is a perfect fit for any pre-teen girl. So pretty!
Many times I’ve successfully transitioned nursery baskets to pre-teen containment / organizers. Pottery Barn Kids Sabrina Basket Collection is great for doing just that! Really – any basket is capable of doing the same! Whenever I’m working with a pregnant mommy, I’m sure to let her know that the invest in quality baskets will last for years. Personally, I still have baskets from 12 years ago when my first child was born. They just work!…
All mom asked for was a simple, easy to read label…
With sage colored ribbon…
( Mesh Cubes )
Mom also requested wall hooks for a collection of bags…
I love these Prism Hooks from Pottery Barn Kids…
They come in pink or clear and include the hardware you’ll need for an easy install…
it all looks so lovely Samantha, its so girly… I love it

Hi Millie!
Thank you so much!!

Sam
I love this room and closet because it shows that a real little girl lives there…one with homemade crafts projects and toys and shoe boxes…but it still looks great and organized!
Thank you SO much for saying that! It’s true! Many after images don’t make it appear as if someone lives there. In reality, every space I leave behind is organized…but still lived in. And real. Means so much to hear that – thank you!!!

Sam
