Contained Lego Builds

Sep 11

My boys love to build and create with Lego’s. Anyone that has a home with Lego’s knows the challenge that is containing those little pieces. I have a system of keeping the pieces organized – shared here. But what do you do with projects the kids are currently working on? Unfinished projects?
These ongoing projects need a safe place to live until they’re ready to get back to them. Otherwise siblings are likely to see that awesome creation as a fun object to deconstruct.
I’m always on the look-out for cool solutions that can solve organization issues. A few weeks ago, at my local grocery store (of all places), I found these…

It’s a project case!

Not only could they solve the issue we were facing in this house, but they were sitting on the clearance shelf…

Thank you!

The lego company has created adorable and fun lego organization systems in the last few years. Am loving the cute lego faces you can find on most of their products…

What I love about the case is it’s the perfect size for containing ongoing projects – 13 x 12 x 3…

And with 2 sturdy clasps they are certain to keep the lid closed tight…

The handle is perfect for little hands to grab and carry…

And each contains a removable lego building base plate…

For $1.39 I was willing to give it a shot.

My 7 year old immediately ran to the playroom, inspired to create a BBQ restaurant…

Don’t ask where that idea came from. He spent a solid hour digging through Lego’s to come up with this beauty. Love the chef…

You can see the BBQ in the back for grilling those steaks to perfection…

Must be a great place to eat – the line looks pretty long…

When done building, he placed the tray inside the case…

And closed the lid…

No chance any 2 year old’s around here will get into his creation. The bins sit perfectly on the larger lego bin inside the game closet

The project cases can be found here on Amazon (affiliate) for a minimal cost.
Happy Lego Organizing!

Those retail for $9.99 locally for me, I would have snapped them up at the regular price. What a great deal!
