A few were beginning to show wear, but otherwise perfectly fine….
I decided a quick coat of spray paint would make them the shining star of a simple centerpiece. I used Krylon spray paint in flat white and gold metallic for the job. The beauty of these paints is it dries fast. The white paint was less than 1 hour and the gold paint was about 30 minutes. Meaning…if you’d like to add this idea into your own tables centerpiece today, it’s totally possible!
The job is smelly, so I laid out my painting tarp on the garage floor…
Then sprayed away…
All it took was 2 coats and I let them sit in the garage overnight to dry completely…
Doesn’t the white look pretty?? It’s like a brand new pumpkin.
Here is the simple Thanksgiving tablescape…
I added pine cone candles to the lanterns and placed a few faux corn cobs around the pumpkins for added fall touches…
Love how the pumpkins turned out…they really give this tablescape a focal point…
Again, simple and the kids can’t break them.
While I was digging around for the pine cone candles, I found the tapers purchased on sale last year from Pottery Barn. Love them!
This guy shows up on the Thanksgiving table year after year…
And the turkey salt and pepper shakers were from the very first Thanksgiving I hosted…
Confession: I have a few small spaces around the house that are still thanksgiving-ish (like the table above), but over the week I started decorating for Christmas. Love Christmas decorations and the earlier I can put them up, the longer we can enjoy them – the better! hA sneak peek of what I’ve been up to…
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
