One Year Blog Anniversary – Day 2!

Nov 6

welcome to day 2 of my week-long blogging anniversary celebration! a week full of awesome giveaways….all for YOU, my fabulous readers!

today’s giveaway is one that is close to my heart. over the last year i have shared quite a bit about my love of shutterfly photo books. like most sentimental mommies, i take a gazzilion and one photos of my kids. when i have the time to make a traditional scrapbook, i enjoy getting lost in booking those precious memories….

but also like most mommies, i don’t have the luxury to dedicate hours upon hours for creating scrapbook pages like those above.

that is where my love of shutterfly photo books come in.

you can create any kind of photo book you wish – they are especially great as gifts for grandparents or brides-to-be or teachers. but i go to shutterfly when i want to quickly capture a moment in time with the kids…yet i don’t have the time to pull out all of my materials and make that big traditional scrapbook. instead, all i have to do i upload my photos and quickly put together an adorable photo book.

my favorite reason to make a photo book? to document and celebrate the kids’ birthdays…

i’m ultra sentimental so their birthday is also a big milestone/celebration for me. it’s another year as their mom. it’s another year to look back on their birth story and relive the excitement of those very special 3 days. the books are a fun way to look back on how they looked on each of their birthdays…how we celebrated, who was there, what gifts they received or asked for, what the party theme was and how they blew out the candles.
this year? our 6 year old blew raspberries all over the cake to blow out the candles. ai yi yi! needless to say, no one really wanted a slice of cake after that! 😉
truth is – i really love their photo books.

nope, they aren’t paying me to say that!

and now you can enter for a chance to win your very own photo book + FREE shipping!

  3. I'm the same as you. I used to be an avid scrapbooker, but I've really fallen in love with Shutterfly photobooks over the last two years. I made one for our babymoon trip to Australia and New Zealand, my pregnancy with my first child, and my daughter's first year. Now, I'm starting to do family "yearbooks", which are combinations of my blog posts and pictures. Love it! However, I would probably use this awesome giveaway to make a family history book. I've been researching my family history/genealogy and I would love to preserve the information in a beautiful photobook format.

  4. I just made one for summer. So I will have to think about it! Great Shutterfly giveaway!

  5. Sara Duenas says:

  8. Kenna Smith says:

I've made photobooks for others and even one of my wedding, but my son who is almost 2 needs one made for him!

  9. cocogirl says:

Since the arrival of my daughter, I have always thought it would be great to make a photo book every year of her life. Not only will it be an easier way to chronicle my photos of her, but I will always have an excuse to take more pictures!

  10. I probably would make it of our puppy, Henry. Or, maybe just general family and friends for a keepsake.

  11. I want to make a photo book of my daughter's kindergarten artwork. This would be perfect! Happy blogiversary Samantha!

I would like to have a photo book of our upcoming Christmas celebrations. I have been toying with the idea of getting my scrapbooks put into hard cover books and would like to try one with this company to test the quality and ease with which I might do that.

I have always wanted to do a photobook, but sadly the cost is always too prohibitive on my single parent income. I would love to have a professional looking album of my little girl.

  19. Unknown says:

I've decided to start a grandparent tradition of a "year in review" book of my 3 boys. Making a book for each of the grandparents, to capture the highlights and day to day things for that particular year.
