While us parents are gearing up for back to school, don’t forget our beloved teachers are doing the same. Make that our “beloved-hard working-under paid-passionate about education-lovers of our children” are getting ready for back to school. They are busy this month setting up classrooms. By the time our kids arrive that first day, teachers have already been busy for weeks creating that fun place our children will learn in each day.
I know most of us appreciate our teachers at some point during the school year during teacher appreciation week, then during a holiday, and finally at the end of the year when we say our sad good-bye’s. But why not get the year started right by giving a teacher appreciation gift on the first day?!
And you know me – our gift has an organization theme. I know, you just fell off your chair.
This was an easy gift to assemble and the kids can’t wait to gift their teachers on day 1! To create this cute calendar / planner, I used a few items from the Avery line; their small 5.5″ x 8.5″ binder with matching inserts…
This binder is great for a teacher to leave out on the desk or tuck away because it’s smaller than your average binder…
And I love that light blue color!
To create the binder cover, I headed straight to pinterest. Not creative? Don’t worry! So many talented peeps share their creations with us online and for FREE. I found this printable, cut it down to size, and adhered it to a backing paper with some cute washi tape…
Then I slid it into the binder cover…
Easy. And cute!
I know you’re nosy and want to see the inside, right? 😉
In the front binder pocket, I tucked in a few (free!) weekly action sheets…
I added a calendar that has both a monthly and weekly breakdown…
Added lots of note paper…
And I left a few sections empty for him / her to personalize…
In the back I added pocket files and extra note paper is tucked into the back cover pocket…
With the binder assembled, I called it a wrap with another free adorable printable…
Trimmed one down to size…
Punched a hole in the tag and secured it around the binder with twine…
You can see I also tucked some fun kids labels on top. I love this!…
And I hope our teachers love it too!
It’s Friday!!
this is so cute! love it! where do you get your avery items?
