it’s the little things week kickoff – a giveaway!

Jun 4

i’m so excited it’s almost monday! why? because monday officially begins my week-long series about tackling the little things on my to-do list. i’m also really excited to kick-off the week by sharing an awesome giveaway with you!
a sweet blog reader, Laura, contacted me a few weeks ago (during the car organization week series) to share many kind comments with me about the blog. we commiserated about sometimes feeling like we live out of our cars. she mentioned when her 3 children were younger, she could have clothed and fed a family of 5 for months – just from the items found in her car.
i can relate!
she went on to tell me that she and her husband created a great organization tool that she wanted to share with me and my readers. as soon as i clicked through the link to their website, i knew i not only wanted to try their product – but that all of you would love this too!
it’s called crumbs away!
crumbs away is the kitchen drawer organizer that sends crumbs packing without moving a single utensil! when you see crumbs beginning to collect in the tray, simply lift the upper utensil organizer and wipe the crumb collecting basin clean!
seriously, how genius is this?? love that!
the tray is not only smart – but it’s huge. it measures 13″ x 16″ x 2.25″.
here are a few key benefits of the crumbs away tray – among many others!…
*the crumbs away tray is easier to clean than a standard drawer organizer. all you have to do is lift the upper organizer tray with all of your utensils or other items still in it and then simply wipe out the crumbs basin below. no more removing all of your items from each compartment, cleaning each compartment, putting everything back in each compartment only to have the whole messy process start over again.
*the crumbs away tray keeps crumbs, gunk and their germs away from the things you are trying to keep clean and organized – like utensils, other kitchen items, bathroom toiletries, make-up, tools, crafts, etc.
*no more putting newly cleaned utensils or other items back in a dirty organizer.
and it’s not just an organizer for the kitchen or utensils. their website gives you several other smart ideas. in the bathroom…
in the garage…
even for kid’s art & craft items…
when i saw the art & craft tray idea, i knew exactly where my tray would come in handy. yes, Laura sent me a tray to try and i love it! in our kitchen we have a small desk nook…
i keep our collection of crayons, coloring books and other craft supplies in the upper right cabinet…
but there is a small drawer in this nook that was lacking attention. it’s the drawer directly in front of the chair…

inside i had a small tray organizer that held our 7 year old’s silly band supply, some paper clips (he likes to create things out of paper clips), and some random missing game and toy pieces. i knew the tray would work well in this drawer – and it did. a perfect fit!…

and i knew exactly what needed to go inside the tray/drawer! i created an “escape drawer” for our 7 year old. he can sometimes get annoyed with his younger brother and sister. so, when things heat up in this house, i try to have a distraction activity at the ready for him.

he has a small collection of bendaroo’s that were gathered in a basket…

along with the bendaroo templates…

occasionally, we grab the basket or some other activity and give him a quiet spot to sit – far away from his “annoying” siblings. now, we can send him to our office nook to have quiet time.

don’t the bendaroo’s look awesome, and colorful, inside this great drawer organizer…

here is how i organized the drawer for him…bendaroo’s and silly bands…

his chuck e cheese plastic token pouches and glow sticks…

his collection of chuck e cheese tickets and the bendaroo templates…

and in the small organizer we have more bendaroo templates, his headphones, paper coin rolls (these keep his hands busy – he is very creative!), and we still have a spot of those missing game and toy pieces…

it was so fun sharing his new little escape drawer with him this weekend. and i can change it up occasionally with new small activities to entertain him.
this giveaway is the perfect item to share this week because it contains and organizes the little things – including crumbs!

Oh I love your organizor trays – I could see me really working to get my kitchen organized with these. My junk drawer would probably be my first challenge. Love your blog.

  11. My junk drawer is screaming for something like this!

  12. Unknown says:

When I first saw this I thought that would go great in my junk drawer. But then after sliding down and seeing a few of the pictures offered for examples I fell completely in love with the idea of using it for my makeup. I put my makeup on in the bathroom and eventhough we have separate sinks my makeup and applicators always seem to gravitate to my husband's side. He is always complaining about it. I think this might be a great solution for my makeup storage problem. Thanks for the opportunity.

  13. Lynn says:

Would replace my old, ugly, cracked silverware tray.

I'd Love To Hear From You!
