MIA mom blogger – checking in here! With the rate life is going in these parts, this may become a recurring series for a while.

It’s about to get busy up in here, friends!
I realize i’m not going to be missed much – this is only a little ol’ blog. But there may be times in the coming weeks when I’m posting 2-3 times instead of 4-5. Just making you aware in case you think i’ve suddenly given up on this blog dream of mine – please know I haven’t!
I always think it’s funny when bloggers apologize for being missing in action for a few days – even weeks. We know everyone lives a busy life…So I’m sure you understand life gets the better of me too. Especially with everything on my plate.
Had a good reason to take 4 glorious days away from the blog and all things organization – our oldest son received his first holy communion on Sunday! So super proud of him! such a special, touching event in our lives…And his. He has been attending his weekly catechism classes for 3 years and it finally culminated in theΒ real first holy communion. Not just learning about it or attending Saturday classes or rehearsal’s. The real first holy communion. He looked incredibly handsome – perfect in his navy slacks, white shirt, and white tie. The group of 80 children receiving first holy communion looked like perfect little angels. I teared up over and over again throughout the weekend and the ceremony.
He even had a sip of real wine during his first communion. He walked off the alter wiping his mouth of the yucky taste. My favorite – when he said he “may have a headache later tonight” after that one sip of wine. Someone’s been listening to mommy too much! π
the party was awesome, too! just a few pics to share and then tomorrow I’ll be back with a small organization project I tackled last week before family arrived for the celebrations.
Lots of tea parties with cousin’s…
The cousin’s created a race track down this long hallway. Yes, the house was pretty loud. But all good sounds…
Lots of balloons like this…
Gorgeous spring flowers…
I ate way too much food this weekend. Too. Much. Food. …
The mini-candy bar party favor for the kids. They loved this!…
And of course, the cake! it was perfect and exactly what I envisioned when ordering. It was SO delicious too!…
We made due the best we could considering most of our entertaining items (cloth tablecloths, platters, etc) are packed away in storage. But it was still a beautiful party and the kids had a great time.
A wonderful weekend full of festivities and kid-action is over. We have a busy week at school and then next weekend? Off to California for another round of home searching! Life is moving quickly over here.
Have a great day!
Of course you will be missed, this is a wonderful blog!
Great pictures, thank you for sharing!

sam
