First thing is to gather up everything Halloween (or whatever holiday I’m packing away) into one area…
This is a good time to pick out items you’d like to donate, fix items that need repair or lights that need replacing. Once I have the keeps huddled together, they’re stored away in clear containers. I love clear containers because it makes everything easy to see. That also means you don’t need fancy labels.
Another tip is that I buy containers with a color-coded lid. For example, for Halloween my bins have a purple handle….
For fragile items, I wrap them with leftover wrapping or tissue paper from that holiday…
For smaller items, like ground stakes, I use clear zippered bags…
Oh yea, check this out…
You can’t mistake what’s inside when they are see-through. Finally, the bins are stored away together until next year…
Halloween. Contained.
Time to get out those Thanksgiving bins!
Have a great day!
May I ask where you purchased your containers? I have smaller ones with that type of handle but would like to convert my large blue Rubbermaid ones to clear for my holiday storage. Clear is such a great idea!
I do the same thing. Love organization!
