Holiday Organization: Simple Mini-Gift Station

Oct 4

It’s the first week of October which means the holiday season has officially kicked off! I know, I know – what? It was just September 1! Having a hard time wrapping my own head around this realization. Every year I set out to be more organized than the previous. You’re already more than aware of this phenomenon, but it seems as if time begins to fly right about now. Party invitations are beginning to roll in already (attended one this past weekend, matter of fact) and I want to be prepared. I want to arrive with a thoughtful hostess gift that has meaning behind it…not something I grabbed from my local market on the way. #guilty I’d like to purchase teacher gifts in advance to really show our appreciation and care. And most importantly, this year I’m giving client gifts during the holidays.

Over the years of running my business, what I did was leave a gift or card at some point during our time working together. Could be mid-process. Could be when we part ways after reaching a whole house organization project. Could be the completion of a custom closet build-out. Whatever the case, there was no rhyme or reason in my timing. My clients were surprised, which I loved. But since I was so busy this year, the ball was dropped on sporadic gift giving.

This year, I’ve proclaimed, is the year to begin giving a holiday gift as a way to show my appreciation for their trust in me to work with them in their home…and also to congratulate them on their efforts to be more organized.

The easy part – finding a gift. My job is intimate which means I really get to know every mom who hires me. (Clients reading this, close your eyes) This year I’m giving my favorite to-do sticky’s for the planners / calendars we’ve been working on together and a gift card to their favorite store.

The difficult part – not being prepared with a gift wrap station. But not after today! Today…mama’s ready!

Organized Gift Station

A few months ago when I shared my Erin Condren planner on the blog, one of her sweet reps reached out to see if there was an opportunity to collaborate. You guys know I’m picky when it comes to partnering and do my best not to overdo those types of posts. But seriously, this is a match made in heaven! And I would only share with you the products I use and love. Erin Condren has the most incredible planners that will genuinely kick your productivity into high gear. And keep you on your organization a-game. But I wasn’t aware of her beautiful gift wrapping, tags and cards.

Erin Condren Gift Station

Erin Condren Simply Organized

To get prepared for the upcoming busy holiday season, this is the perfect, low-stress time to set up a mini-gift station. I’ve talked about gift wrap stations before, but think of this as a smaller version. A station where you can add a label to a nice bottle of wine. Maybe add a colorful card to a hostess gift. Even let your kiddos write a special thank you for their teacher. Little surprise thank you’s are easy to do when supplies are at the ready and easy to access.

I started my mini-gift station with a tray. I already had this one on hand…any will do just fine!…

Then I filled it with a few small items and beautiful, colorful Erin Condren products.

As far as what’s inside my mini-gift station, I’ll begin with my favorite (because I can’t help myself) – these beautiful, watercolor adhesive gift labels

Adhesive Gift Labels

As you can see, these can be personalized! I love the beautiful labels and their simplicity. Adding a gift tag is made simple by labeling the box or card without the need for anything additional. No tape or string…if I’m in a rush, just pop on the label. I ordered something not totally “holiday” so I can use them into the new year.

Erin offers a variety of gift labels. This Good To Go variety pack is convenient. No matter the need, you’re covered!…

Notepad Erin Condren

Erin’s colorful, productivity note pad is where I’m writing my list of client gifts to purchase…

And I’m honored / grateful to share that my gift list will be 2 pages long. Still can’t believe following my passion turned into a small business with a fully booked schedule.

Since Erin Condren is known for her planners, it makes sense she would also create pens. I’m not as deep into the planner world as my girl Jen from Jen Plans (you must check her out!!), but I do know they are adorably snobby about the pens they choose. Erin sent me a colorful set of gemtone rollerball pens. I am a total fine-point pen girl…are you?

Her inspirational words are a nice touch…

Of course, a gift would not be complete without a card…

Erin Condren Note Cards

I added a beautiful set of all-occasion cards to my gift station. This covers more than just the holidays and ensures if I need a card, I can find it right away…

But the ultimate addition to my mini-gift station is the Gift Wrap Book

Gift Wrap Book

This book is jam-packed with folded holiday cards, decorative stickers and to/from labels…

You could add a simple roll of white or kraft paper to your mini-gift station and dress up your gift by adding a few pretty stickers. I love the metallics!…

The book also includes 3 sheets of reversible gift wrap paper…

Beautiful!

And organized!…

Mini GIft Station

To my mini-gift station I added tissue paper, thank you notes and a small tin with twine / scissors for wrapping. My mini-gift station is portable too…
