My typical client tends to be a busy mom with young children. But over the last year, I’ve had the pleasure of working for a few older couples / empty nesters. The home dynamic is much different than that of a family, so I’ve enjoyed being pushed a bit outside my comfort zone.

This particular couple was referred to me by one of my favorite local interior designers, Kelly of Kelly Scanlon Designs. She referred me to this stunning kitchen project that I shared one year ago. Her work is seriously to die for! She sent this lovely couple my way who recently renovated a townhouse and they needed to edit their contents. I mean…look at this!…

As you can tell, I had NO issue working for several days in the various spaces around their gorgeous home! And they couldn’t be more adorable!

We started by editing the clothing and just a general simplification of closets / drawers…

When the clothing was completed, I re-organized their linen closet…

And then headed to the master bathroom. She is into holistic remedies and vitamins which makes this shallow nearly floor to ceiling cabinet a smart use of space…

No children in the home meant we could even tuck away some medications in there. Love that cabinet! And it’s all alphabetized for her to easily locate.

She had accumulated quite the supply of her favorite products. They were here, there and everywhere. But not anymore…

I wrapped up my most recent day with them by re-organizing their simple pantry. Don’t need much for just 2 people…

He’s a handyman of sorts and was able to quickly whip up some extra shelves for me using his table saw in the garage. It was such a fun day to have him sorta working with me side by side…

On tap next is a beautiful new office space with pieces from Pottery Barn. Can’t wait to share that transformation with you!
